Introduction
Ok, now you’ve come up with a list of ideas. How do you pick out which one you use as your next software project?
We need to narrow down our list of ideas to one specific idea that we can pursue as our software project. The key is figuring out which idea to run with. How do we know that it’s something we can build within a short timeframe? How do we know if it’s going to be lucrative? Is it an idea that we’ll enjoy working with through the term of the project?
These are the questions we’ll look at in this chapter. Keep in mind that it’s easy to fall in love with one of the ideas you’ve come up with. When you’re working through the idea generation process, it’s easy to find one that you feel especially passionate about.
That’s ok – but don’t let it blind you from some of the other potentially lucrative ideas you’ve put together.
