If you’re a programmer or have some programming experience, could you put the project together yourself?

The Do-It-Yourself angle seems appealing. You can put the money into marketing the final product rather than using it to fund a team of programmers to put the source together.

In this chapter, let’s look at some of the advantages and disadvantages of writing software yourself.

If you decide to put it together without hiring an outside team, I think you’ll find that some of the techniques you’ll learn will be useful as you progress.
